FRAZEYSBURG ? Memorial services for Joseph H. Banks, Jr., 83, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, will be at 12:00pm (Noon) Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Mr. Banks died Sunday evening, March 27, 2005 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born March 24, 1922 in Wilmington, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Joseph H. Banks, Sr. and Alice (Schrer) Banks and was an Army veteran having served during World War II. Mr. Banks retired in 1982 from the B. & O. Railroad where he was a yard conductor. He was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen #404. Surviving is his wife, Marilyn (Dorsey) Banks, whom he married August 4, 1943; two sons, Joseph H. (Gailia) Bank, III of Hanover, Ohio and Wayne L. (Lindy) Banks of Heath, Ohio; one daughter, Dolly Jo Freeman of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ted M. Banks and a sister, Christabel Glass. There will be no calling hours.
