Jona L. (Lanham) Newell, 42, of Zanesville, died at 9AM Tuesday October 11, 2005 at her home following a two month illness. Mrs. Newell was born May 18, 1963, a daughter of the late Henry Lanham and Helen Lanham of Warsaw. She worked at Ohio Plastic Co. in Frazeysburg and helped the Muskingum Township Fire Dept. with fund raising activities. She enjoyed riding ATV and especially playing with her grandchildren and niece. Surviving is her husband, Conard ?Bob? Newell, two sons, Brandon Newell, Ryan Newell both of the home; stepdaughter, Stacy Mangold of Avondale; four grandchildren; father in law, Harold Newell of Zanesville; brothers, Henry (Sharon) Lanham of Newark, Paul (Mary) Lanham of Dresden, Duane (Linda) Lanham of New Mexico, David (Mary) Lanham of Warsaw, Steve (Marilyn) Lanham of Dresden, Darrell Lanham of Dresden; sisters, Barbara (Joe) Chaney Warsaw, Karen (James) Curry of Warsaw, Edna (Bernie) Gardner of Coshocton, brothers and sisters in law, Mark (Jerri) Newell of Dresden, John (Kimberly) Newell of Zanesville, Harold (Ruth) Newell, Jr., of Zanesville, and 34 nieces and nephews, 58 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Brian and Dustin Lanham, her mother in law, Alberta (Triplett) Newell, five nieces and nephews and one great nephew. Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9PM Thursday October 13, 2005 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home where services will be held at 3PM Friday with Pastor Tim Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Church Cemetery.
