John Thomas Stevens, 46, of Warsaw, Ohio died Tuesday afternoon, November 2, 2021, at The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Born July 19, 1975, in Warren, Ohio, he is the son of George Stevens of Warren and the late Judy (Haas) Stevens. After graduating from Howland High School John proudly served in the United States Army, spending time in Kuwait. He worked many years as an iron worker for the Iron Workers Union #172. John was a gun enthusiast, and could often be found in his garage, hanging out with friends and family, talking about his guns and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
In addition to his father John is survived by his loving wife Rhonda (Cannon) Stevens whom he married November 21, 1998; three sons, Mitchell (Rachel Dudte) Cannon of Fallsburg, Austin Cannon of New Philadelphia and Jace Stevens of Coshocton; two granddaughters, Madalin and Alexis Cannon; biological mother and step-father, Pam and Roy Mederer of Warren; a brother, Mark (Leora) Scheck of Bessemer City, North Carolina and a sister, Cat Clark of Millersburg. Also surviving is his mother in-law and father in-law, Liz and Chuck Cannon of Fallsburg, his sister in-law and brother in-law, Teresa and David Priest of Fallsburg; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Mose Byler.
Friends and family may call from 2pm to 5pm Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the funeral home with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating.
