NEWARK: A funeral service for John E. Klein, 71 of Hebron will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Licking County Veterans Alliance providing military honors.

Mr. Klein passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at his home. He was born July 27, 1939 in Newark to the late Edward H. and Gleneva (Evans) Klein. Mr. Klein graduated from Newark High School in 1958. He retired from the Newark Air Force Base. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army; a life member of the Druids; former member of the Eagles and American Legion. He enjoyed bowling and power weight lifting.

Survivors include his brother, James (Linda) Klein of Benton, AR; his adopted family, Terry and Pat Loughman, Sr. of Newark; Dean and Becky Hottinger of Newark; Godchildren, Tammy (Bob) Brooks, Terry Loughman, Jr., both of Newark, Amanda and Brittney Chalfant; special weight lifting buddy, Russ Dodson; and numerous cousins.

Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
