A funeral service for John E. ?J.R.? Redman, 62 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mr. Redman passed away Tuesday at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born March 9, 1946 in Circleville to the late Robert and Vista (Stonerock) Redman. Mr. Redman owned and operated J.R.?s Tree Service. He was a member of Newark Eagles; and enjoyed visiting with all his friends at Jolly Pirate?s. Survivors include his children, Dale (Loretta) Redman, Brian Redman, both of Chillocothe, Angie Gordon of South Carolina; fianc?, Gloria Smith of Galion; sisters, Sally (James) Fisher of New Philadelphia, Clara Belle (Donald) Thompson of Circleville; Linda Riley of Utah; special friends, Mike, Dick and Judy; and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers, and a sister. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
