ZANESVILLE ? John J. Jordan, 58, of Zanesville, Ohio died at 12:15pm Friday, January 6, 2006 at Genesis Extended Care and Rehab Center. Born March 4, 1947 in Zanesville, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Schmid) Jordan and was a 1965 graduate of West Muskingum High School. Mr. Jordan was a member of the Ohio National Guard for six years and was employed by Cooper Power Systems for 26 years. He had been employed by Glacier-Clevite since 1993. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son in-law who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Lodge of Amity #5, F. & A. M., the Ancient and Accepted Order of Scottish Rite, Valley of Cambridge and the Muskingum County Scottish Rite Association. He enjoyed sports and assisted in coaching biddy league football and baseball. Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Kandie (Schultheis) Jordan, whom he married July 21, 1968; two sons and daughters in-law, Jason and Angie Jordan of Dresden and Justin and Lexie Jordan of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Logan and Macy Jordan; one brother, James Jordan of Zanesville; his mother in-law, Jackie Schultheis of Zanesville; brother and sister in-laws, Jeff and Patty Schultheis of Mansfield, Ohio and Gregg and Diane Schultheis of Tampa, Florida; an aunt and uncle, Whitey and Marjorie Barnes of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thornton and Hazel Jordan and Carl and Alice Schmid; an uncle and aunt, William and Bernice Jordan; and his father in-law, William ?Bill? Schultheis. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, January 8, 2006 at the Bryan Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Avenue with Masonic services being conducted by the Lodge of Amity #5 at 5:45pm. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, January 9, 2006 at Bryan Funeral Home with the Reverends Mike and Melody Foster officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
