NEWARK ? A funeral service for John H. Hart, 88 of Newark will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Payton officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery. John entered into Heaven Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from Arlington Care Center. He was born March 21,1921 in Newark to the late Edwin and Edith (Koontz) Hart. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Helen in 1986. John is survived by sons, Joseph (Sandra) Hart, and Terry (Charlotte) Hart; grandchildren, Gregory (Jackqueline) Hart, Christopher (Vonda) Hart, Lance (Monica) Hart, Tara (Jarod) Anderson, Bill (Angie) Sullivan; 8 great-grandchildren; and several great nephews and nieces in Toledo. In addition John was blessed with a second extended family during his life. He is also survived by a loving friend and companion of 20 plus years, Irene Crawford; and her children, Katherine Crase and Gregory (Bonnie) Crawford. John?s working career included driving taxi cabs for all the major companies in Newark in the late 40?s and early 50?s; owner and operator of a neighborhood grocery store in Toledo; and 30 plus years of employment and service to Kaiser Aluminum in Heath where he retired in 1983. John Hart was a helpful, courteous, polite, and thankful person who is deeply loved by his family and friends. Friends and family may visit 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
