FRAZEYSBURG – John J. Gilkes, Jr., 52, of Worthington, Ohio died Monday morning, July 25, 2011 at The Inn At Sharonbrook in Newark, Ohio.
Born June 17, 1959 in East Liverpool, Ohio he was the son of the late John J. Gilkes, Sr. and Shirley (Moran) Gilkes and was a graduate of Beaver Local High School. Mr. Gilkes was a member of the Order of Moose and attended the Perry Chapel Baptist Church. He was employed as a powdercoat painter with the Liebert Corporation of Worthington.
Surviving is one sister, Janie (Robert) Clifford of Frazeysburg; four nieces, Jamie Luckeydoo, Lacey Clifford, Courtney Clifford and Hayley Clifford and a great niece and great nephew, Addelynn and Brett Clifford.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:30pm Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor David Fowls officiating. Burial will be in Perry Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
