John Carroll BlizzardAugust 21, 1932 - January 11, 2008 FRAZEYSBURG ? John Carroll Blizzard, 75, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died at 7:28pm Friday, January 11, 2008 in the emergency room of Genesis Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born August 21, 1932 in Frazeysburg, he was the son of the late Wilmer and Lala (Evans) Blizzard and was a 1951 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Mr. Blizzard was retired from Columbus & Southern/AEP where he worked in the maintenance department and was a storesman. He was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church, Frazeysburg Lodge #490, F. & A. M., Amrou Grotto of Zanesville and the Dresden American Legion. He enjoyed gardening and was a very avid golfer and a member of the Vista View Senior League. Surviving is his wife, Jane (Pace) Blizzard whom he married November 10, 1956; one son, Kim (Tawnya) Blizzard of Frazeysburg; three daughters, Tammy (Jeff) Mox of New Lexington, Ohio, Diana (Jeff) Lee of Frazeysburg and Jennifer Blizzard of Dresden; one sister, Josephine Bowman of Newark, Ohio; six grandchildren, Shawn (Jesica) Mox, Jeremy Mox, Courtney and Slade Blizzard, Marissa and Jesse Lee; two great grandchildren, Sydney and Evan Mox; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Sidle and Madeline Jacobs, and a brother, Bronson Blizzard. Calling hours will be 4pm to 8pm Monday, January 14, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street with Frazeysburg Lodge #490 conducting Masonic services at 8pm. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
