FRAZEYSBURG ? Joe G. Riley, 93, of Dresden, Ohio, died Wednesday evening, April 11, 2007 at Genesis Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in McConnellsville, Ohio. Born September 29, 1913 in Muskingum Township of Muskingum County, he was the son of the late John T. and Alice (Vandenbark) Riley. Mr. Riley was a farmer and a member of Muskingum Presbyterian Church. Surviving is three sons, Thomas D. (Erma) Riley and Jerry L. (Karen) Riley, both of Dresden and James G. (Charlotte) Riley of Stow, Ohio; one sister, Martha Cameron of Frazeysburg, Ohio; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; three step great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Lane) Riley, whom he married August 31, 1934 and who died June 6, 1972; three brothers, Fred, Bern and Don Riley; two sisters, Roberta Gutridge and Kathryn Spiker; and one step grandchild. Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday at the funeral home with Dr. James A. Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
