A funeral service for Joan K. Kuhlwein, 82 of Hanover will be 1:00p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Hanover Presbyterian Church with Rev. Charlotte O'Neil and Cory Campbell officiating.  Burial will be at Hanover Cemetery.

Joan passed away Friday morning, November 15, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born June 22, 1942 in Columbus, OH to the late Leland and Julianna (Erhart) Rothe.  Joan was a talented baker and worked at Market Basket in Hanover.

Joan was a tremendous wife, mom and neighbor.  Her door was always open and she could be counted on to always lend a helping hand making even the smallest things fun!  She was an active member of Hanover Presbyterian Church. She loved making crafts and working the annual Church Bazaar.  She also enjoyed puzzle building and was an avid bird watcher.

Survivors include her husband, Willard "Bill" Kuhlwein; children, Leland (Mel) Kuhlwein, Lance (Karen) Kuhlwein and Karen (Scott) Winegardner; grandchildren, Summer Winegardner, Jimmy Tarbutton, Michael Kuhlwein, Megan Coleman, Rachel Kuhlwein, Jess Davis; great grandchildren, Logan Nethers, Johanna Kuhlwein, Mia Kuhlwein, Wren Kuhlwein, Declan Coleman, Atlas Coleman, Ivyonna Hammond, Teagan Davis and Tytus Davis; brothers, Richard Rothe and Charles Rothe.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Tufts; and brother, Roger Rothe.

Friends and family may call 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church., 723 N. Main Street, NE, Newark (Hanover).
