Jerry E. Anderson, 72, of Zanesville, Ohio died Sunday evening, February 16, 2014 at his home.
Born January 6, 1942 in Pike Township of Coshocton County, Ohio he was a son of the late Virgil B. Anderson and Wilma M. (Larr) Anderson Brinkman of La Mirada, California. Mr. Anderson was a 1959 graduate of Union High School and he was a Viet Nam veteran having served in the U. S. Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and growing flowers. He was retired from the construction and oil field business.
Surviving in addition to his mother is a son, Ryan D. (Arielle) Anderson of Zanesville; two daughters, Eunice Bellew and Leigh (Roy) Newsom both of Newark; nine grandchildren; a brother Tom Anderson and two sisters, Judy and Darlene all of California. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Janice Myers of Newark.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Mesnard officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
