Jeffrey W. Mitchell, 61, of Zanesville, Ohio died Saturday afternoon, August 13, 2016 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.
Born May 24, 1955 in Zanesville he was a son of the late Clarence Mitchell, Sr. and Mary (Black) Mitchell of Adamsville and he was a 1973 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. For the past 25 years Mr. Mitchell was a letter carrier out of the Zanesville-McIntire Post Office. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his loving wife of 38 years, Susan E. (Williams) Mitchell whom he married December 17, 1977; three daughters, Lindsay Mitchell of Chandlersville, Ohio, Amanda (Iesha) Mitchell and Kylie Mitchell both of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Jenna Lovejoy, Jaylynn Lovejoy, Logan Lovejoy, Colton Mitchell and Cohen Mitchell; four brothers, Clarence "Bud" (Beverly) Mitchell and Ralph (Cindy) Mitchell both of Zanesville, Samuel (Andrea) Mitchell and Daniel Mitchell both of Adamsville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Knicely.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Adamsville Community Center on Madison Street in Adamsville.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Adamsville Community Center. Burial will be in Heaven's Gate Cemetery in Adamsville.
