Jeffrey A. (Jeff) Hindel, 53, of Dresden, Ohio died Tuesday evening, January 1, 2019 at Newark Care and Rehabilitation Home where he had been a resident 6 years.
He was born November 15th, 1965 in Zanesville, Ohio, a son of the late Jack E. and Janet M. (King) Hindel. Jeff grew up in Dresden and was a member of the 1984 graduating class of Tri-Valley High School.
Jeff enjoyed watching sports, fishing and playing poker. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his former wife Deana Hindel; children Channing Hindel, Jaclyn Hindel and Kayla (Calib) Butler, Great Grandchildren, Peyton, Daniel, and Kane Butler; nephew Jared (Cara) Hindel; great nephews, Gage and Gavin Hindel; aunts and uncles, Sharon Vickers, Carol Myers, Lois (Larry) Barth; and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Hindel; sister, Patty Hindel; an infant brother, James Hindel; a nephew, Bryan Hindel; grandparents, Frank and Hazel Hindel, William and Emma King; aunts, Betty Hindel, Iris Shumaker, Erma Hindel and Rose Hindel; uncles, Gerald Hindel, Kenneth Shumaker, Pete Vickers and Roger Myers.
Calling hours will be 4pm to 8pm Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
