A funeral service for Jeanie M. (Mears) Burns, 29 of Newark will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Bryan Grove officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Jeanie, a devoted wife, mother and daughter, died Thursday evening, April 27, 2006 at Mt. Carmel East Medical Center in Columbus. She was born July 7, 1976 to James C. and Mary E. (Loewendick) Mears. Jeanie was a graduate of Lakewood High School. She was active with McGuffey Elementary School events and Cub Scout Pack 75. She is survived by her loving husband, Christian D. Burns; a son, David Alan Six, a daughter, Elizabeth Jean Six, both of Newark; brothers, Christopher J. (Jodi) Mears of Newark, James (Jessica) Quinif of Utica; sisters, Heather Mears of Utica, Jennifer (Bob) Stuck of Utica; grandmothers, Barb Hilton of Heath and Henrietta Winland of Hopewell; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Sunday April 30, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055. The family requests contributions be made to Jeanie M.
