Jean McBride, 86, of Dresden, Ohio died Sunday morning, November 20, 2022 at The Grand Care Center in Dublin, Ohio.

Born July 21, 1936 in Adamsville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Homer Shroyer and Florence (Wortman) Shroyer Crawford.  Jean was a 1954 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School and was a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Mattingly Settlement and loved working at the annual turkey dinner served by St. Ann's/St. Mary's.  Jean enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren's many sporting events.  She was also famous for her cooking and baking.

Surviving is one daughter and son in-law, Susan and Jim Fracker of New Concord, Ohio; two grandchildren, Randi (Nick) Bicking of Dublin and Chad (Kami Maddocks) Fracker of Upper Arlington and two great grandchildren Kenzie Bicking and Kamryn Bicking.  Also surviving are four brothers, Bernard Shroyer of California, Richard (Mary Ellen) Shroyer of Killbuck, Ohio, Andy (Amy) Crawford of Dresden and David (Debbie) Crawford of Nashport; two sisters, Dianne (Fred) Messerschmidt of Nashport and Marsha Shumaker of Dresden; three sisters in-law, Treva Shroyer of Kernersville, North Carolina, Marsha McBride and Peg McBride, both of Dresden and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 66 years, William C. "Bill" McBride whom she married June 11, 1954 and who died March 18, 2020; two brothers, Dwayne Shroyer and Donald Shroyer and a sister, Edna Shroyer Cox.

There will be no public calling hours.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am Friday, December 2, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6280 St. Mary's Road, Nashport with The Reverend Father Ryan Schmit officiating.  All are welcome to attend.  Jean will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Bill, in Dresden Cemetery.
