Jaunice passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, at the age of 84. A private funeral service was held on February 5, 2025 with Pastor Wally Mclaughlin officiating. Burial took place at Fairmount Cemetery.

Born on June 9, 1940, in Newark, Jaunice was the daughter of Norris C. and Cora E. (Fulk) Friend. During her life, she was dedicated to her family and her work, serving as a retired employee of Granville and Newark City Schools Food Service.

Jaunice leaves behind her son, Frank; daughter, Erika Weekley; grandchildren, Chance, Brittany, Nicholas and Michael. Her family and loved ones mourn the loss of a devoted individual, wife, mother, and friend.

In addition to her family, Jaunice was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Weekley; and daughter, Machelle Beth Weekley.
