FRAZEYSBURG ? Jarrell W. ""Boomer"" Thornton, 42, of 350 Union Street, Newark, Ohio died Saturday morning, September 14, 2002 of an apparent heart attack. Born January 29, 1960 in Charleston, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Roy S. and Geneievie J. (Hall) Thornton. Mr. Thornton was employed in the body shop of Chesrown Oldsmobile of Newark. Surviving is one son, John C. Thornton of Newark; three daughters, Susan Thornton of Bliss, New York, and Brianna Thornton and Angie Thornton, both of Newark; two brothers, Ronald (Diana) Thornton of Newark, and Larry (Robyn) Thornton of Frazeysburg; two sisters, Belinda Sue (Larry) Bryson of Brownsville, Ohio, and Jan (Noel) Smith of Nashport, Ohio; one granddaughter, Lisa Thornton of, Bliss, New York; a step-mother, Sharon Thornton of Frazeysburg; two step sisters, Tanya (Jay) Westinbarger of Heath, Ohio, and Angie (Gary) Young of Frazeysburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa A. (Ludinich) Thornton, whom he married December 19, 1980 and who died April 24, 1994; and four brothers, Bernard, Gary, Keith, and his twin brother Darrell Thornton. Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at Vensil-Orr Funeral Home, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 10:00am Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Cole officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
