A funeral service for Jannis M. ""Grambo"" Caudill, 77 of Heath will be held Sunday August 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Caudill died Thursday August 16, 2007 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born September 8, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio to the late John L. and Evelyn (Slaven) Davidson. Jannis received her Associate Arts Degree in Liberal Arts at OSU-Newark at the age of 69. She was a member and past president of Moundbuilders Kiwanis and was Kiwanian of the year in 2000, a member of the Newark Chapter # 305, Order of theEastern Star and past matron of Highlands Chapter # 350 OES, Assistant District Commissioner, Licking County Simon Kenton Council of the BSA. In 2003 received the Silver Beaver Award, BSA, a member of the Granville Chapter of the DAR. She volunteered as a tutor at Ben Franklin Elementary School in Amy Flavin and Pam Roberts classrooms. Survivors include her children Mark H. (Ruby) Caudill of Brownsville, Kathleen C. (Ron) Cooksey of Newark, Amy C. (Phillip, Jr.) Dutiel of Heath; grandchildren, Toby Caudill of Pa., Tyler (Amy) Dutiel of Newark, Travis (Jennifer) Dutiel of Mt. Vernon, Lenn (Ann) Adams of Thornville, David (Stephanie) Adams of Brownsville; great-grandchildren, Zach Caudill, Nicholas, Kaitlyn and Mikalah Dutiel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Caudill, October 11, 2000, two sisters and one brother. Calling hours will be observed Saturday August 18, 2007 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street.
