Janet A. Williamson, 76, of Dresden, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, January 29, 2021 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville with her family by her side.

Born May 13, 1944 in Oak Hill, OH, a daughter of the late David and Jesse (Jones) Herbert.  Janet was a graduate of Oak Hill High School and Rio Grande University. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family.  She was a devoted Christian and a member of Coburn United Methodist Church.  Janet exemplified the faith she so firmly believed in by the way she lived her life, sharing love, kindness, positivity, and perhaps most memorable, her sense of humor, with all she encountered.

Surviving are her husband, Sherman "Rudy" Williamson, whom she married on January 15, 2015; two daughters, Sheryl (Scott) VanAntwerp and Susan (Mark) Huffman; seven grandchildren, Joe (Lorin) Herren, Brittany (Adam) Loudermilk, Zachariah Herren, Jennifer (Aaron) Coulter, Jessica Hayes, David and Daniel Huffman; eight great grandchildren, Abby, Gracie, Sammie, Cole, Aria, Carter, Knox and Kasen; a sister, Sue McClanahan-Pepper and numerous friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. L. David Martin.

Friends and family may call from 4-6 pm on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden.

A private funeral service will be held.  Janet will be laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery, Dresden, Oh.
