Jan K. Nestleroad, 78, of Zanesville, Ohio died Saturday afternoon, March 4, 2017 at his home.

Born April 22, 1938 in Napoleon, Ohio he was a son of the late Glen and Rosemary (Wagner) Nestleroad and was a 1956 graduate of Napoleon High School. He was also a graduate of The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in agricultural economics. Jan proudly served our country as a member of the United States Navy. He retired in 2005 after working through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union as an electrician for over 40 years. Jan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Mattingly Settlement, American Legion Post #399 of Dresden and the Disabled Veterans Association of Coshocton. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving is his loving wife of over 52 years, Mary Ann (Weinman) Nestleroad whom he married June 26, 1964; three daughters, Shannon (Chip) Cullins, Laura (Mark) Morrison and Sheryl (Ron) House, all of Zanesville; three sons, John (Tami) Nestleroad of Brewster, Ohio, Mark Nestleroad of Charleston, South Carolina and Steve (Angie) Nestleroad of Zanesville; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob House and a sister, Kay Brown.

Calling hours will be 4pm to 8pm Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street. Following calling hours, Christian Wake services will be conducted.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 405 Chestnut Street, Dresden with the Rev. Father Donald Franks as celebrant. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
