James Wheeler, 59, of Frazeysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home Friday, October 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Born February 19, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio he was a son of the late Jess and Etta Wheeler.  Jim enjoyed watching any and every sport, but especially Ohio State football. He enjoyed hunting, carpentry, and learning to play the guitar and drums. He was a member of Meadow View Church of Christ in Frazeysburg and enjoyed regularly attending with his family when he was able.

Surviving is his loving wife, Anne (Lepi) Wheeler whom he married April 21, 1990; his two kids, Brandon Wheeler of Columbus and Becky Wheeler of New Albany; a brother, Richard (Darlene) Wheeler of Delaware; sisters-in-law, Mary (Jim) Sheen of Royal Oak MI and Renee Lepi of Allen Park MI; brother-in-law, Steve (Cindy) Lepi of Orlando FL and several nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Jim) Kitchen, Sara (Seth) Coakley, Aaron Lepi, Andrea Lepi and Ryan Sheen.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wheeler and two brothers-in law, Andy Lepi and Thomas Lepi.

The family would like to thank Dr. Laith, Ashley, and the remainder of the staff of The James Cancer Center in Columbus for their compassionate care. Additionally, they would like to thank Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, especially Wendy and Becky, for their extraordinary comfort and expertise.

Visitation will be 11am to 1pm Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Meadow View Church of Christ, 6750 Raiders Road, Frazeysburg. A funeral service will follow the visitation with Minister Sam Dunn officiating.  Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.

The family asks that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks be worn at all times in order to protect those in attendance.
