FRAZEYSBURG – James D. "Dusty" Shepler, 37, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Tuesday afternoon, August 9, 2011 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Born March 31, 1974 in Zanesville, Ohio he is the son of James A. and Vickie S. (Hewitt) Shepler of Frazeysburg and was a 1993 graduate of Licking Valley High School and Licking County Joint Vocational School. Mr. Shepler was a laborer in the pipeline construction business and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Laborers, Local 530. He was a avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother and sister in-law, Dallas and Michelle Shepler of Frazeysburg, his paternal grandparents, Norman and Amy Shepler of Frazeysburg; two nieces, Taylor and Savannah Shepler; a nephew Jacob Shepler and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Esther Hewitt.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, August 15, 2011 at the funeral home with the Rev. Irene Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
