A funeral service for James A. ?Pete? Allison, 81, of Heath, will be held at 11AM Tuesday August 10, 2004 at the Heath Church of Christ with Dave Mason and Ray Linn officiating. Burial will follow in the Killbuck Cemetery in Holmes County. Mr. Allison died Friday at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born November 4, 1922 in Killbuck,Ohio a son of the late Clyde F. and Sybil Vaughn (Hodgeson) Allison McDonald. Mr. Allison was a veteran of WWII, serving as an aerial engineer in the US Army Air Corps. He was a former Lions Club member and Millersburg & Hebron F.&A.M. member, a life member of the DAV, a member of the Heath Church of Christ and NARFE. He had worked for many years at the Newark Air Force Base. He is survived by his wife, Maxine (Croft) Allison, whom he married April 16, 1945, children, Suzanne (David) Lees of Alexandria, Sandy (Lou) Ross of Cincinnati, Jim Allison of Newark, grandchildren, Heather (Mark) Pottebaum, David Eric Lees, Kent (Erin) Lees, Allison Ann Ross, Nicholas James Ross, Zechariah Michael Allison and Miriah Megan Allison, great granddaughter, Whitney Lees, a brother, Charles (Carrie) Allison of Killbuck, and his sister Catherine (Wallace) Lytle of Wooster. Friends may call 5-8PM Monday at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
