James N. Smith, 67, of Zanesville died at 5:01 PM Wednesday October 26, 2005 in the Good Samaritan Hospital E.R. Mr. Smith was born December 1, 1937 in Zanesville, a son of the late James and Eva (Newell) Smith. He was retired from the Zanesville State Nursery where he had been a mechanic. He was an avid CB with the handle ?PeeVine? and loved his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Gloria A. Smith; three children, Thomas A. (Carolyn) Smith of Zanesville, Richard L. (Debbie Sarbaugh) of Zanesville and Donna K. (Tracey) Foraker of Zanesville; two sisters, Mary Hastings of Zanesville and Emma (Bob) Hutton of Valdosta, Georgia; grandchildren, Carrie Smith, Matthew Watson, Eric Cable, James Smith, Jessica Layne Smith, Richard Wesley Smith, Austin Jordan Sarbaugh, Isabele Foraker, Tristan Foraker and Connor Foraker; two great grandchildren, Emma Lee Watson and Blaze Watson; and a special CB friend, ?Whistler?. Friends may call 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Friday October 28, 2005 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 8005 East Street, Adamsville where services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday. Burial will follow in Beatty Cemetery.
