A funeral service for James Robert Maurice Bryant, I, 25, of Columbus will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, with District Elder Henry D. Davenport officiating. James died tragically Monday evening in Newark. He was born December 15, 1979 in Columbus. James is survived by his loving parents; Carl and La Donna (Bryant) Nelms; his son James Robert Maurice Bryant, II., and his mother Takeisha Prysock; great-grandmothers Lessie Bryant and Eleanor Hadnot; grandparents, Judy (Phillip) Byrd , and Mary Nash; sisters, Brandy LaShon Nelms, Frenchelle Patrice Nelms; God Brothers, Raynard Allen Miller and Marcus Vancleaf; great-great aunt, Ruby McAlister; nephews, Bradley ""B.J."" DeShawn Hines, Jr. and Maurice J?Shon Kyle; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Friends may call two hours prior to the funeral service, from 12:30-2:30PM Saturday at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
