Obituary

FRAZEYSBURG ? James T. ?JT? Coots, 73, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Monday morning, March 31, 2008 at his home. Born October 16, 1934 in Totz, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Cyril T. and Rosetta (Creech) Coots. Mr. Coots served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and he was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints of Zanesville. Mr. Coots retired in 1995 from Rockwell International and was a member of the United Auto Workers Local #1037. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Shirley J. (Wright) Coots, whom he married October 3, 1959; four sons, James (Angie) Coots of Newark, Greg (Linda) Coots of Frazeysburg, Ron (Susan) Coots and Rusty (Heidi) Coots both of Nashport; two daughters, Deborah (Ron) Nipper of Lake City, Florida and Karen Coots of Trinway; five sisters, Betty Scott of Tompkinsville, KY, Dorothy (Wayne) Cornett of Corbin, KY, Sue (Royce) Emmert of Tompkinsville, KY, Ann (Thomas) White of Henderson, KY and Linda (Les) Hartman of McGaheysvlle,VA; four brothers, Dale (Caryl) Coots of Front Royal, VA, Cyril (Mary) Coots of Robards, KY, Bob (Judy) Coots of Bowling Green, KY and Terry Coots of Taylorsville, UT; 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home 110, West Third Street and one hour prior to the service, which will be 11:00am Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3300 Kearns Drive, Zanesville, Ohio. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
