"Together Again" James O. Holdsworth, 86, of Coshocton, Ohio died Thursday evening, May 30, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born November 23, 1926 in Coshocton County, Ohio he was a son of the late August and Nellie (Ramsey) Holdsworth. Mr. Holdsworth was a retired elevator superintendant from the Coshocton Grain Company. He was a member of the Dresden First Baptist Church and was the organizer of the Friday night "Gospel Sing" in the Dresden area churches.
Surviving are two sons, and daughters in-law, James Allen and Brenda Holdsworth of Coshocton and Jack Lee and Kathy Holdsworth of Newark, Ohio; four grandchildren, Lori (Larry) Monroy, Amy (Rich) Lawrence, Valerie Holdsworth and Bruce (Felicia) Holdsworth; eleven great grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving is a sister, Gladys Dobson of Trinway, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Hazel M. (Preston) Holdsworth whom he married November 24, 1944 and who died April 25, 2013; two sisters, Agnes Hutchinson and Glenna Adams and two brothers, Paul and Dean Holdsworth.
Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Dresden First Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Offenberger officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
