Obituary

Jacob Andrew Carroll, 13, of New Concord, Ohio died Monday afternoon at his home.
Born September 7, 2000 in Coshocton, Ohio he is a son of John Wesley Carroll of New Concord and Christy Ann Nelson (David Gress) of Plainfield, Ohio. Jacob recently completed the 7th grade at John Glenn Middle School and was a member of the Victory Baptist Church of Coshocton. He was also a member of the Pitch-A-Fit Farm 4-H Club and was active in showing market hogs at the Muskingum County Fair. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the John Glenn Middle School football team where he played center.
Surviving in addition to his parents are four brothers, Wes (Lydia) Carroll of Zanesville, Ohio, Clinton Carroll and Blake Carroll both of New Concord and Gage McVay of Warsaw, Ohio; two sisters, Melissa (Sam) Husk of Adamsville, Ohio and Elexia Gress of Plainfield; a step-brother, Ethan Gress of Plainfield; his grandparents, Ricky and Jonnie Nelson of West Lafayette, Ohio and Norma Murray of Millersburg, Ohio; his great grandfather, Paul Nelson of Coshocton; a special person, Pam Elmore of Zanesville and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Ruth Carroll.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Victory Baptist Church, 355 Browns Lane, Coshocton, Ohio with Pastor Ralph Johnson officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery near Adamsville.
