FRAZEYSBURG ? Jack A. Luther, 73, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Thursday evening, December 18, 2008 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville, Ohio. Born July 4, 1935 in Newark, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl J. and Mary Helen (Stafford) Luther. Mr. Luther served in the U. S. Army where he was a truck driver. After his military service he continued in the trucking business driving for various companies for over 50 years, including the last 25 years with Putnam Transfer Company of Zanesville. Surviving is his wife, Nellie L. (Baker) Luther, whom he married December 31, 1968; five sons, Scott (Brenda) Luther and Brian (Debbie) Luther, both of Newark, Chuck (Carrie) Fadley of Dresden, Ohio, Steve (Sue) Fadley of Nashport and Leo (Donna) Fadley of Frazeysburg; a daughter, Tina (Donald) Boyce of Frazeysburg and a daughter, Peggy; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a special nephew and niece, Bob and Sue Snedden of Brownsville, Ohio; several other nieces and nephews and his best buddy, his dog, Sprout. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Jackie Kay Luther, a son David Luther, a brother, Bob Luther and two sisters, Ruth Luther and Kathleen Snedden. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Patton officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
