Jack Wayne Lewis, 47, of Dresden, Ohio died Thursday evening, April 28, 2016 at the home of his brother, Jerry, in Dresden.
Born April 26, 1969 in Zanesville, Ohio he was a son of the late James Edward and Mary Lou (Tilton) Lewis and was a 1987 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Jack was the owner and operator of Dresden Tire Services and Ol' Skool Pizza of Dresden. Previously he had been a basket weaver and supervisor with the Longaberger Company. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Dresden, but his love and passion was with the Dresden Volunteer Fire Department where he was a firefighter. He was involved in all aspects of the department and truly loved serving our community.
Surviving are four brothers, James Wesley (Charlotte) Lewis of Florence, Kentucky, Joseph Edward (Teresa) Lewis of Frazeysburg, Ohio Jerry W. (Brandi Wagner) of Dresden and Jeffery Wade (Tammy) Lewis of Nashport, Ohio and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, May 2, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Inboden officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
