J. Brian Hall, 73, of Newark, Ohio died Tuesday morning, June 19, 2012 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Born March 22, 1939 in Powhatten, Ohio he was the son of the late James W. and Garnet (Doty) Hall and was a 1957 graduate of Hanover-Toboso High School. He retired in 2001 as a self-employed excavator. He enjoyed Stockcar Racing and was a former racer. He also enjoyed football and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Deanna A. (Jackson) Hall whom he married May 29, 1960; four sons, Dana (Kim) Hall of Nashport, Darren (Teresa) Hall of Newark, Brent (Carol) Hall of Hanover and Brad (Brooke) Hall of Heath; one daughter, Britni (Ryan) Gerber of Toboso; nine grandchildren, Amber (Josh) Schleiger, Kehley (Joe Petticrew) Hall, Tregg Hall, Branden Hall, Bronte' Hall, Talon Gerber, Addi Gerber, Hunter Hall and Hayli Hall; one great grandchild, Maddy Petticrew and twins on the way. Also surviving is one sister, Maxine Scott of Newark and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30am Friday, June 22, 2012 at Hanover Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Myers officiating.
