Obituary

A funeral service for Ivadel D. Bebout, 83 of Hebron will be held Wednesday August 20, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church 88 N. Fifth Street Newark with the Rev. Charles Rader officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bebout peacefully passed to her eternal home Saturday August 16, 2008 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born August 26, 1924 in Outville, Ohio to the late Ralph and Mary Rachel (McFadden) Schisler. She was a 1942 graduate of Newark High School. In 1946 she graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. from the College of Home Economics, majoring in Home Furnishings. She had been employed by the Ohio Power Electric Company, John J. Carroll Department Store, office manager for Drs. Kenneth and Joy Bebout Stovcik Dental Clinic, plus a freelance Interior Designer for D?cor by Ivadel. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Newark, Eagon Chapter 123, OES in Hebron. The Ohio State University Presidents Club and a lifetime Alumni Member. She was a member and past president of Licking County Home Economics Society, The Harbor Hills Garden and Women?s Club and Twig # 14. Enjoyment came from her family and friendships, cooking and baking for family events. She looked forward to any activities as scholarship funds and sports associated with The Ohio State University. She judged projects at the Hartford Fair. She loved dancing and had traveled extensively. She appreciated all of God?s natural wonders including mushroom hunting. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Joy Bebout Stovcik and son-in-law, Dr. Ken Stovick of Thornville; son, John J. Bebout of Harbor Hills and her favorite cat, Lightning. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, John Junior Bebout in 1984 and grandson John Joseph Stovcik in 2007. Calling hours will be observed Tuesday August 19, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home 1850 W. Main Street, Newark. Eagon Chapter # 123, OES will conduct services at 8:45 p.m. The family request memorials to First United Methodist Church P.O. Box 729 Newark, Ohio 43058-0729 or Hospice of Central Ohio P.O.
