Obituary

Irene G. Rowe, 77 of Dresden, formerly of Akron, was released into God's hands on June 4, 2014.

She was born January 13, 1937 in Akron to the late Floyd and Glendora L. Lowe. Irene owned and operated Pop-A-Top Ceramics in Akron, before retiring to Dresden, OH. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. Irene was a loving wife, mother, proud grandmother and friend. She enjoyed tea parties, spending time with friends and family, playing the organ, social events and flowers (especially her constantly blooming African violets).

Irene is survived by her children, William A. (Lorraine) Rowe of Akron, Joseph F. (Barbara) Rowe of Uniontown, John E. (Kim) Rowe of Mechanicstown; her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Floyd (Michael) Rowe, Louis (Tamara) Rowe, Amy (Keith) Blaylock, Lacey, Logan and Luke Rowe, Ella, Mason, Miles and Max Blaylock, Tristan, Leighton, and Rhys Rowe; as well as her sister Arlene Morrow; numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Rowe and brother, Otis Small.

Friends will be received Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main St. where funeral services will be held Sunday June 8, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rowe Family Cemetery.
