V. Irene Foster, 77, of Walhonding, died Wednesday afternoon May 19, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Donna following several years of illness.
Mrs. Foster was born April 21, 1933 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Lytle and Edna (Chittock) Jordan. She was a member of the American Legion Post #399 Auxiliary in Dresden for 33 years and had worked at the Dresden Lounge on Main St. in Dresden.
Surviving are her children, Donna Abbott of Walhonding, Harold â??Jackâ? (Kitty) Myers of Dresden, Donald (Sue) Myers Nashport, Jerry Foster of Dresden, Julie Hipkins of Dresden; grandchildren, Adrienne (Jerry), Marni (Dave), Randi, Rachel, Kara, Kate, Gary Jr., Shane (Alyssa), Casey (Mandy), Amy, Molly, Shawn, Steve, Tara; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; brothers and sister, Leonard (Kay) Jordan of New Concord, Coleen Taylor of Zanesville, Bernard Jordan of CA and several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, John and Sam Foster and their mother Peggy Foster all of Indiana and a sister-in -law, Marlene â??Sadieâ? (Floyd) Green of Adamsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Foster, two sons, Gary and Mike Foster and a brother, Richard Jordan.
A memorial service will be held at 1PM Sunday June 6, 2010 at the Dresden Cemetery. A fellowship meal is planned for all immediately following the service at the Dresden American Legion Post, South Main Street, Dresden.
