Irene Dolores (Bedeski) Bosold, 99, of Frazeysburg, died late Friday night at Hearth Brook Nursing Home in Newark, Ohio.

Born March 23, 1926, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Walter Thomas and Mary (Fenyo) Bedeski. She was the middle of five children.

Irene met her forever love, Homer E. Bosold, at the close of WWII and they were married in St. Louis, MO. During her lifetime, Irene volunteered at the girls' schools, Girl Scouts, teaching Sunday school, at Perryton United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women, at The Wilds, and with Licking Valley Lions Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Dwight) Landis and Janice Bosold; seven grandchildren, Shelley (Mark) Gleason, David (Shannon) Geary, Brian (Lynn) Geary, Jeremy (Donna) Landis, Michael (Breanna) Landis, Robyn (Robert) Armstrong, and Patrick (Andrea) Landis; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Homer E. Bosold whom she married April 19, 1947, and who died October 13, 2006, and four siblings.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00am – 12:00pm on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Perryton United Methodist Church, 6139 Licking Valley Road, Frazeysburg.

Funeral Services will be NOON on Friday, June 13, 2025 with Pastor Courtney Williams officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Perryton Cemetery. You are invited to return to the church for a time of food and fellowship.
