Imogene Rose "Jean" Cox, 91, of Adams Mills, Ohio died peacefully Wednesday evening, January 30, 2019 at her home. Her loving family was at her side.
Born January 20, 1928 in Coshocton, Ohio she was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Moody) Benner. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and was a wonderful cook. She loved baking pies and cookies. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, sewing, crocheting, playing the lottery and watching Ohio State football.
Surviving are two sons, Steven (Mary) Cox of Adams Mills and William (Ginny) Cox of Bradford, Ohio; a daughter, Cathy Cox of Adams Mills; two grandchildren, Nathan Cox of Jacksonville, Florida and Ashley (Ben) Neumaier of Vandalia, Ohio and a great grandson, Leland Neumaier. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her special pets, her dogs "Lucy" and "Molly Jean" and her cat, "Groucho".
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, William B. Cox whom she married August 8, 1948 and who died March 27, 2016; a brother, William Benner and two sisters, Elizabeth Newell and Willetta Nelson.
As per her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A private family memorial service will be at a later date.
