Steen, 104, of Newark, Ohio, formerly of Marne, Ohio will be at 11:00am Friday, March 25, 2005 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery. Mrs. Steen died Monday morning, March 21, 2005 at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newark. Born November 15, 1900 in Blackford County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Jacob C. and Lissa E. (Minser) Keller and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Marne United Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #85 of Newark, and a former member of the Madison School Mothers? Club. Surviving is one son, Oren J. (Leona) Steen of Newark; one daughter, Gladys E. (Leon) Kemp of Auburndale, Florida; twenty-one grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus G. Steen, who died February 14, 1968; three sons, Carl, Edward and Edgar Steen; two daughters, Helen Price and Mary Wood; one sister, Mary Stemen; two brothers, Clarence and Charles Keller; and two grandchildren. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg.
