Herbert W. ?Herb? Amspaugh, 65, of Frazeysburg, died at 2:24AM Saturday April 5, 2003 in the Genesis Bethesda ER. Mr. Amspaugh was born December 25, 1937 in Fairfield County. He was a member of the Frazeysburg Fire Department and had worked at The Longaberger Company in the security department. Surviving are his wife, Connie (Wilson) Amspaugh, whom he married July 1, 1979; one son, Rodney (Mary) Amspaugh of Newark; daughters, Heather Amspaugh and friend Travis Harper of Zanesville, Holly (Charles) Farrell of Newark, Misty (Parker) Edmiston of Alabama, Debbie Amspaugh and friend Mark Staggers of Newark, Janie (Timothy) Dempsey of Florida; brothers, Paul (Jean) Amspaugh of Lancaster, Daniel (Gladys) Amspaugh of Duncan Falls, Kenny (Luella) Amspaugh of Lancaster, Roger (Phyllis) Amspaugh of Columbus; five sisters, Arleta Miller, Edith Garrett both of Circleville, Eileen (Verne) Miller of Baltimore, Juanita (Melvin) Archer of New Stoutsville; ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary Amspaugh and one sister, Ruth Roley. Calling hours will be from noon to 4PM and 6-9PM Monday April 7, 2003 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg, Ohio. Funeral services will 1PM Tuesday April 8, 2003 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
