NEWARK ? Helen Ruth ?Pat? McMillin, 87, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Newark, Ohio, died Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Ridgewood Nursing Home in Springfield. Born March 10, 1917 in Pike Township of Coshocton County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Alva and Helen (McKee) Patterson and was a 1934 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Newark and was a member of Moundbuilders Country Club. Mrs. McMillin was an avid golfer and bridge player and was an active volunteer for many years at Licking Memorial Hospital. Surviving is one son and daughter in-law, Dr. James T. McMillin and his wife, Joanne, of Fairborn, Ohio; two grandsons, Dr. T. Scott (Ricki) McMillin of Springfield and Bradley J. (Kimberly) McMillin of Enon, Ohio; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James R. McMillin, who died June 8, 2000; a sister, Mary Beckholt and a brother, Frank Patterson. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service, which will be 11:30am Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, with the Rev.
