Helen L. Garver, 81, of Dresden, died Friday morning February 8, 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee while visiting her daughter. Mrs. Garver was born July 10, 1926 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Blanche M. (Billman) Jones. She was a graduate of Meredith Business College in Zanesville and was a life long member of the First Baptist Church in Dresden. Surviving is her daughter, Edna (Eadie) Garver Nail of Nashville, TN, two brothers, Ed (Virginia) Jones of Dresden, Robert Jones of North Carolina; one sister, Blanche Gill of Philo and three granddaughters, Pam Nail of Tennessee, Sonya Smith of Ft. Polk, LA and her husband Scott, serving with the US Army in Iraq, Tonya (Andy) Fraunfelter of S. Zanesville; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis M. Garver on November 17, 2003; a son Francis E. Garver on May 3, 1995 and six brothers and one sister. Friends may call 6-9PM Wednesday February 13, 2008 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11AM at the First Baptist Church in Dresden with Pastor Andrew Dennis and Burt Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery.
