Helen Carolina Horner, 96, lovingly known as "Aunt Bell" passed away Wednesday night, August 22, 2012 at Sycamore Run Nursing Center in Millersburg, Ohio.
A life-long resident of the Frazeysburg vicinity, she was born August 8, 1916 to John Riley and Nellie (Little) Horner on the family farm north of town. She moved to Frazeysburg with her parents in 1944 and was employed at the Ohio Plastic Company for 37 years. Helen was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church for 51 years and made many friends within the Frazeysburg community.
Survivors include two nieces, Nancy Wright (Bill) Chew of Killbuck, and Jo Ann Wright (Ed) Kline of Mt. Vernon, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Thomas Horner, three sisters, Margaret Lemert, Mary Horner, and Ruth Wright, and several nieces and nephews. Though she never married and had no children she was actively involved with and dearly loved by her extended family.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
