A funeral service for Hazel I. Jeffers, 84 of Newark will be Tuesday June 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Mrs. Jeffers died Saturday June 24, 2006 at Autumn Health Care in Newark. She was born October 7, 1921 to the late Bert L. and Pearl (Mikesell) Bebout. Mrs. Jeffers graduated from Hanover High School in 1939 and was a member of the Marne United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved reading and crafts, but most of all, her grandchildren were her life. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Chesser of Marne; grandchildren, Kimberly (Mike) Mosholder of Newark, Natalie (Tony) Scott of Vista, CA., Kendra (Todd) Park of Reynoldsburg, David (Michelle) Chesser of Hanover, and Tonya Chesser of Marne; great-grandchildren, Brandon Mosholder, Tony, Hanna, and Kailyn Scott, Brittney, Jessica, Olivia, Blake, Mikayla, Luke, and Zion Park, and Grace and Grant Chesser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willard L. Jeffers, whom she married July 27, 1941; a son, David Jeffers; brothers Ray and Ronald Bebout; and her sister, Neva McElfresh.
