Hazel Marie (Mox) Hatfield, 92, of Adamsville went home at 9:35 AM Saturday December 6, 2008. Mrs. Hatfield was born March 22, 1916 near Adamsville to Alvin and Eura (Finley) Mox. She attended Burnt Mill School; worked at Gonder Pottery and later years at Adamsville Elementary School as a cook and was a member of the Adamsville United Methodist Church. She was a woman of great strength, unspoken love for her children and a great cook! Gone from our midst, but never forgotten. She married Marion (Friday) Hatfield on August 27, 1932. Together they raised fifteen children: James (Joan)Hatfield, Patty (Duane) Brock and Mona (Allen) West all of Zanesville, E. Jane (Delmar) Dutro, Marion, Jr (Mary Jo) Hatfield, D. Jean (Vern) Hittle, David (Judy) Hatfield, Earl (Dianne) Hatfield, Rocky (Vickie) Hatfield, and Lynn (Cindy) Hatfield all of Adamsville, Mitchell (Linda) Hatfield of Chandlersville, Rita (Thomas) Lazar of Nashport, Randy (Patricia) Hatfield of Norwich; a daughter-in-law, Judy L. Hatfield of Adamsville; a son-in-law, Dr. Phillip Mozena, DVM of Newcomerstown; 37 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Marion who passed away January 28, 1986; a daughter, Mary Mozena; two sons, Terry Hatfield and Kenneth Hatfield; brothers, J. Paul, Kenneth and Charles (Mitch) Mox; a sister, Isabelle Krebs; five grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Hatfield. Friends may call 3-8PM Tuesday December 9, 2008 at the Adamsville United Methodist Church, where services will be held on Wednesday at 1PM with Pastor Tom Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adamsville United Methodist Church or Adamsville Fire Department.
