With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Haydin Michael-Anderson Shockley, age 16, of Newark, Ohio, who left this world far too soon on September 1, 2025.

Born on March 23, 2009, Haydin brought light, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew him. A kind soul with a curious mind, he had a deep love for music, space, and the outdoors. Whether he was enjoying rocket launches, exploring the world around him, or simply spending time with family and friends, Haydin lived with a sense of wonder and joy that was truly contagious.

Haydin found great happiness playing Miracle League baseball, where he built lasting friendships and inspired others with his spirit, perseverance, and love for the game.

He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Haylee Megison and Quinn Shockley, as well as his stepparents, Austin Humphrey and Christa Shockley. Haydin was a cherished brother to Caden, Lana, Annabell, Alexander, Easton, Pixie, and Layne. His warmth, sense of humor, and endless curiosity will be deeply missed by his entire family and all who had the honor of knowing him.

Calling hours will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Vensil & Chute | Newark, where friends and loved ones are invited to come together in remembrance of the incredible joy he brought into the world.
