A funeral service for Harriet P. ?Happy? Miller, 82, of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Monday August 3, 2009 at the Heath Church of Christ, 1331 Chapel Way, Heath with Dave Mason officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Fork Cemetery. Mrs. Miller died Wednesday July 29, 2009 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born March 26, 1927 near Fallsburg to the late Charles and Edith (Crawford) Bodle. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Heath Church of Christ and operated Happy?s Beauty Shoppe in her home from the early 1960?s until her retirement in 1986. Surviving are three children, Edith Jeanette (Bob) Grashel of Granville, Bob Miller of Lewisburg, TN, Kelly (J.L.) Ball of Newark; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Grashel, Stephanie Evans-Miller, Matt Grashel, Barcy Curtis, Misti Johnson and her fianc? Anthony Kaercher, Andres Ball, Kaytee White, Caleb White, Jacob Ball, Jayelle Ball; five great-grandchildren, Doug Evans-Miller, Emily Evans-Miller, Chase Curtis, Alex Curtis, Keegan Curtis, two sisters, Charlotte (Everett) Smith of Heath, Edith Moore of Lancaster; a brother, William (Lillian) Bodle of Santa Fe, New Mexico;a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bodle of Fallsburg; her regular caregivers, Judy Van Fossen and Paula Tittle and her beloved dachshund, Woody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Leon Miller on February 27, 2003; three brothers, Charles, Robert and Ted Bodle and a sister, Betty Keller Ritchey. Calling hours will be observed 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the Heath Church of Christ.
