NEWARK ? Funeral services for Harold Edgar Willey, 80, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, will be at 11:00am Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Rader officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mr. Willey died Tuesday evening, March 9, 2004 at The Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Born May 10, 1923 in Fallsbury Township of Licking County, he was the son of the late John and Lelia (Wilson) Willey. Mr. Willey was a retired self-employed building contractor and, along with his wife, was owner and operator of the Legend Inn of Newark. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, The United Commercial Travelers and the Heisey Club of America. Surviving is his wife, Mildred M. (Camp) Willey, whom he married May 9, 1942; one daughter, Nancy J. (Tim) Singleton of Newark; one son, James A. (Patricia) Willey of Newark; one sister, Mildred (Glenn) Toothman of Utica, Ohio; four grandchildren, T. J. Singleton of Whitehall, Ohio, John Singleton of Frazeysburg, Lisa Willey (Jeff) Bowman and Cheri Willey (Jeff) Wade, both of Newark; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his very faithful dog, Mindy Sue. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Rice, Helen Rector and Pauline Keller and three brothers, Floyd, Russell and Glen Willey.
