A private funeral service will be held at a later date for Harold W. Westbrook, 74 of Newark. Mr. Westbrook died Friday October 28, 2005 at his residence. He was born February 17, 1931 in Nashport to the late Frank E. and Gladys L. (Lake) Westbrook. He was retired from B & L Motor Freight as a mechanic with over 20 years of service. He had also been a truck driver for Acord Coal Company. He was a member of the Newark, Eagles, Newark Moose, Druids and F.O.P. He was a former member of the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was an avid Licking Valley sports fan. Survivors include his daughter, Leann (Terry) Bush of Newark; grandsons, Ryan (Kristie) Bush, Evan Bush both of Newark; sisters, Ruth Ann (Danny) Farmer of Nashport, Beulah Westbrook of Newark; many nieces and nephews and special friend Sis Roberts of Newark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Nancy (Heaton) Westbrook, May 19, 1998; two brothers, Ivan Westbrook and Dale Westbrook and infant daughter, Karen Westbrook. No calling hours will be observed. The family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Ohio 2269 Cherry Valley Road SE, Newark, Ohio 43055-9925.
