FRAZEYSBURG ? Grace L. Johnston, 85, of 118 Garfield Street, Frazeysburg, Ohio, died at 1:45am Thursday, July 3, 2003 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born July 10, 1917 in Harrington, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Cinderella (Hindel) Gould and was a 1937 graduate of Jefferson High School in Dresden, Ohio. Mrs. Johnston retired in 1988 as a press operator at the Ohio Plastics Company of Frazeysburg with 21 years of services, and was a member of the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Carole Fraunfelter of Roseville, Ohio, and Cinda (Phil) Rauch of Newark, Ohio; one son Craig (Karen) Johnston of Frazeysburg; six grandchildren, Sean Fraunfelter, Leslie Rodich, Aaron Maupin, Todd Maupin, Jeremiah Johnston, and Chase Johnston; two great grandchildren, Madison Fraunfelter and Rylee Grace Rodich; and a very special friend, Wava Norman of Frazeysburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G. Graham Johnston, whom she married August 16, 1939 and who died March 2, 1967; a brother Harry Gould, and a sister Katherine Maneely. A memorial service will be conducted at 8:00pm Sunday July 6, 2003 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg, Ohio with Dr. James A. Schumacher officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6pm until service time Sunday. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church.
