Glenna E. Adams, 84, of Trinway, died at 11:45AM Monday January 5, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Adams was born August 22, 1924 in Conesville, a daughter of the late August Leroy and Nellie (Ramsey) Holdsworth. She was a member of the Trinway United Methodist Church and had taught Sunday School for over 20 years. She was life-member of the VFW Auxiliary #11072 in Dresden and a member of Mended Hearts in Zanesville. Surviving are her children, Clyde Raymond (Nancy) Adams, Jr. of Trinway, Diana (Carl) Schaefer of Mt. Gilead, Dixie (Gene) Jeffers of Gallipolis; a sister, Gladys Dobson of Trinway, a brother, James (Hazel) Holdsworth of Coshocton; her grandchildren Angie (John) King, Brian Adams, Eric (Sunkela Johnson) Adams, James (Sharen) Locklear, III, Rebecca (Rob) Restifo, Robert Locklear, Missie (Brian) Williams, Mindy (Kirk) Jenkins, Matt (Amanda) Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Ashley (Nathan) Vance, Tyler Coen, Jenna Adams, Brianna Adams, Trish Campbell, Andrew Wolford, Makenzie Adams, Malcom Johnson, Ray Locklear, Veronika Sachs, Kennedy Sachs, Christian Sachs, Mattea Restifo, Peyton Locklear, Lillie Locklear, Kelly (Josh Griefenstine) Williams, Kristen Williams, Halley Wright, Hannah Jenkins, Quinten Jenkins, Xavier Jenkins and a great-great grandson, Derek Griefenstine and a brother in law, Everett Hutchison of Trinway, and a sister-in-law, Joan Holdsworth of Conesville. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Raymond Adams, Sr. on December 17, 2003; a sister, Agnes Hutchison; brothers, W. Dean Holdsworth, Paul Holdsworth, KIA WWII and an infant brother. Friends may call 6-9PM Wednesday Janaury 7, 2009 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. A funeral service, with calling one hour prior, will be held at 2PM Thursday at the Trinway U. Methodist Church with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating.
